shitposts and ideological arguments
I know 'em, you know 'em, we all know 'em. Those networks posts that don't always make perfect IC sense, but they're forever popular because they're so damn fun. "Hypothetical" moral questions. Accidental videos. 3AM oversharing. Effortposts. Contrived pleas for advice. Love 'em or hate 'em, jamjar networks are like...the peanut butter to DWRP's jelly. Or something?
HOW TO PLAY:
- Toplevel with a network post. Conversations take place in generic assumed jamjar settings where everyone's in (roughly) one place and can text each other.
- If you have any preferences about the genre or specifics of that generic assumed jamjar, or if you want it to be in the setting of an established game, or anything like that, say so.
- Reply to people's network posts.
- INSTANT GRATIFICATION

Even when you're an adult, you can still be blindsided by stuff like that.
[He doesn't like thinking about it much...]
But yeah. It's normal. More experience lets you look back at things with new perspective.

I used to think everyone else had all their shit together and it was just me who was just...stuck. Like their lives made sense but my origin story sucked, so I couldn't imagine my future or anything. Not that there was tons of that happening anyways [apocalypses are bad for long-term planning] but...there was a lot of trying to look cool in the Ashura-kai so maybe I always had the wrong idea about what other people had going on. And their lives making more sense than mine, that was just because things don't make sense until you step away from it anyways?
[if there is one thing hal does best it is long, blathering texts full of oversharing that he will regret in about five minutes]

Huh, there was a lot on this kid's mind, wasn't there? ...Also, 'Ashura-kai'... yeah, that didn't sound like some sort of gang at all. Just what were you involved in, kid?]
When you're a kid you don't know much; so of course you'd think everyone else knows what they're doing. Some people never get past that line of thought..
[...Should he get personal here? Dojima wasn't really the type of person to overshare- if anything you needed to pry this sort of thing out of him, but over text, maybe it was a bit easier.]
Everyone's life is a mess, kid. We all got our hang ups and issues. Some more than others, sure. But it's also pretty easy to convince yourself you got it all under control, only for life to throw you a curve ball.
[Annnd lord knows did he get that feeling...]

Shit, sorry, that was a joke. Thank you for the advice.
[my morbid humor was not disrespect]

...Ah. Humor as a defence mechanism. He'd known people like that... one of which he didn't want to think of.]
It's fine, it wasn't exactly supportive stuff. I'm not the best at that.
[Working on it, but sometimes he's still too blunt... Delicate feelings is not something he's great with.]
But if you're able to see this sort of stuff already, kid, I'm sure you'll be alright.
[There was a long, long pause as Dojima debating... what to say next.]
If you need to talk things out... I can at least listen.

thank you.
[And that actually...does make him feel better, the comment about him being alright. He's never thought of that quality as an asset before.
Part two throws him for a loop, because those words usually come out of his mouth and being suddenly on the other end is kind of...]
That's really generous of you.
[He feels like this guy wouldn't be saying it if he knew what he was getting into.
...But he wants to accept.]
